Anita Schieffer began her professional career as a lawyer in the legal department of Siemens AG in international contract law and IT law in 2002. In 2008, she moved to the Compliance department and was involved in the investigation of the corruption scandal and the implementation of the Siemens compliance system. She held various management positions in the Siemens Compliance Organization, including in the areas of antitrust compliance and anti-money laundering. From May 2018 to December 2019 she advised international clients on the implementation of compliance systems, internal investigations and a DOJ monitorship, as a partner at the law firm Pohlmann & Company. In January 2020, Anita took over the role as Group Compliance Officer at the DAX40 company Siemens Energy, a spin-off of Siemens AG. Since January 2023, she has also held the position of the Siemens Energy Human Rights Officer.
Anita holds a doctoral degree in law from Ludwig Maximilians Universität, Munich, Germany. She is editor of several publications on Compliance and a frequent speaker at national and international conferences. She also is a certified coach.
